Fongarid is back

Australian horticulture will be excited to learn of the return of the trusted fungicide Fongarid, after an absence from the market of almost two years.

Fongarid from Syngenta is an extremely well known and respected brand. Darren Thomas, Sales and Marketing Manager with AgNova Technologies, expands on what makes Fongarid stand out, “Fongarid combines excellent disease control with a high degree of crop safety. Its flexibility of application is one of the key reasons that growers will be keen to hear of its return”.

Fongarid is effective against Pythium and Phytophthora which inhabit the soil and infect a wide range of horticultural species. Fongarid has been proven commercially to provide 6 to 10 weeks protection from soil borne attack depending on the rate applied, soil type and cultural practice. Mr Thomas added, “Fongarid can be applied in a number of convenient ways, and growers love the flexibility. It can be applied as a dry mix with potting soil or in water as a soil drench. Fongarid performs well in field and glasshouse beds, potted plants, cutting beds and boxes and seedling beds and boxes.
